Our Story
Springdale began on Beth Vannatta's family land, a place where the wide Kansas horizon meets the quiet strength of the prairie. For generations, this property has been a witness to the changing seasons and the enduring spirit of the land, providing a foundation for dreams to take root and flourish.
What started as a retired art teacher's vision soon transformed into Springdale Art and Nature Center. Beth's passion for teaching and her love for the environment merged to create a unique sanctuary designed to foster creativity while actively preserving the natural beauty of the Kansas landscape.
We believe that art and nature are inherently inseparable. Observation of the natural world inspires the creative process, while the act of creation deepens our appreciation for the world around us. At Springdale, we provide the space for this dialogue to happen, ensuring that both artistic legacy and ecological health are protected for future generations.

Our Mission
Springdale Art and Nature Center serves as a vital sanctuary where the creative spirit is nurtured through hands-on art programs and the Midwestern landscape is preserved for future generations.
